+22 A cool thing about getting older is that you hear from your skeleton a lot more. amirite?

It's more painful than cool, imo

Cicero would point to exercise as the ward that keeps the aches of age from impairing you. That was more or less my experience of turning age 27, old, and discovering some aches and pains for the first time. As soon as I picked up a weight as a habit those aches went away. Good system. If it hurts, strengthen it. Use this in the gym. The things that hurt get first reps. Then move to the plan of the day.

I agree that sounds great for muscles, but arthritis can be very humbling. I'm 43 and old high school American football injuries have really caught up to me. I wish I never played

High school football has ruined a lot of peoples potential to live full lives without pain. Mine and many friends included. Stupid sport

"Exercise, if youths practise it, strengthens their muscles; in the case of men in their prime, it confirms their health; and in the case of the aged, it wards off the weakness of old age." - Cicero, E.S. Shuckbergh translation 1889.

And, ironically, you get less boners.

A couple of years ago I realized I could crack my knuckles without touching them with my other hand. Just flexing the muscles in my fingers, crack-crack-crack-crack. It seems cool in an action movie. It is not.

Hard disagree. It might be cool if the skeleton had nice things to say. It does not have nice things to say.

I get Snap, Crackle and Pop without eating cereal

My skeleton left to get a pack of cigarettes 20 years ago and I haven't heard from him since. I sure hope what you say is true 🥲

That's just your soul taking trying to escape.

Who needs a morning alarm when your bones give you a wake-up creak every day?

I have every intention to die in the gym.

I did some yard work yesterday... OH those muscles are still there.

You have an odd definition of "cool"
