As a man, I can see a beautiful woman, physical features I love, she has sex like a porn star and comes off as sweet, but that's not who she really is. She can be a deadbeat, lazy, mentally unstable and emotionally abusive but because I chose to enter into a relationship with her after we had sex then I wasted my time and bam, now it's over

Also, it's the mentally unstable/emotionally abusive ones who understand this and will use sex to lure you into a relationship, and will be used as leverage from that point on. There is no sex that is good enough to offset crazy, look for someone who brings you peace in life. If being with your partner wouldn't be worth it if you didn't have sex for a month, that's your sign to leave.

It wouldn't work for me, I have to trust someone strongly before I would consider intimacy; but that doesn't invalidate it for others. My goddaughter's parents started out as FWB (or the more colorful term, "f**k buddies") and now they're married with two kids. They're great together and great parents.

Wait wouldn't a FWB actually make sense though? It's someone you're friends with (if we're taking the "friends" in friends with benefits literally) so someone you have an emotional connection to prior to sexual contact. I'm just asking because I'm also only sexually interested in people I have a connection to so all of my relationships have been really good friends beforehand.

i think its better that way so any issues with sexual compatibility are dealt with right at the start with no hassle because you're not in a relationship with the other person
