+989 Girls: some guys just don't understand that girls can hug and hold hands with their friends without being a lesbian, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Maybe we don't want to understand it. Let us have our fantasies!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

how about Girls: you just don't understand that guys can hold hands and hug each other and not be gay, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, if they're holding hands they're totally gay. Hugging is fine though.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I digress.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That would only be valid if guys didn't call EACH other gay just for sitting in adjacent theater seats. I'm a straight guy by the way, and I've seen it happen. Girls would have less trouble seeing things like that as acts of friendship if guys saw it that way for themselves first.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I see it that way with my friends...lol but it's not like the whole population of men is just going to grow up and quit being so childish.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeah I know. I just don't think we should be complaining so much (and I'm not saying you're complaining) if we don't even like it. But hey, things happen, life goes on, whatever right?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've seen guys hug. Never have I seen two straight men hold hands unless they were pretending to be gay

by Anonymous 13 years ago

touché

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yes you are!(:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Definately right. And it's not just guys that normally misunderstand...it's people in general.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agree with you

by Anonymous 13 years ago

coming from a girl, if you hug and kiss other girls then you ARE gay. just face the facts.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well obviously if its long, romantic hugs and kisses. kisses are lesbian. but friendly hugs arent lesbian...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

says the lesbian

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not a lesbian...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

says the lesbian in denial

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well I guess I juat cant win then. I'm into guys. Haha. and its normal for girls to hug.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ya you can't win. you know why? cuz losers aren't winners!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This guy is right only if you emphasize the and. It's got to be both, or even just kissing. Otherwise a hug is a perfectly acceptable act of friendship. Also, kissing has to be romantic. A kiss on the forehead could be an act of comforting.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well kissing isn't in there. I'm talking about normal hugs and holding hands with a girl for fun.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Eww I don't hug and kiss my friends.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

As a technicality they would only be gay if they were sexually attracted to each other. What they do is actually irrelevant.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Face it, all chicks have a little bit of lesbian in them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That would have to go the other way around too.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I hug and hold hands with my friends all the time because we think it's funny and, I don't know, it's just fun to do. Normal, almost. And none of us are lesbians.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

As far as you know. O_O

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hmmm... true. They COULD be lesbians. But I'm sure I could tell if they were, if they're, like, my best friend or something... maybe... :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

xD -was expecting some angry troll rant like i usually get- Glad some people actually have a sense of humor.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ha, well I didn't find that too offensive. Though I do have a crazed sense of humor... the funniest things are the ones that are supposed to be offensive... maybe...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Some guys get it... Like me, who prefers to hang with girls in the first place. I don't know if it's a dominence thing when others guys are around, but I'm more comfortable with less guys.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I kinda wanna know why I prefer being around girls... Why I like talking to them more... I think it's because all the girls I like hanging out with, are emotionally hurt, or scared, or something, and talking about that interests me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Same. I'm a guy and almost all my friends are girls. There doesn't seem to be anything to talk about with guys.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Btw, as a side note, that anomymous comment is me. What's worse, is my brother kinda get's this, knows I'm like this. He won't accept I'd rather hang out with girls, and not give a thought about dating any of them. He gets pissed when I barrow his phone specifically to chat, and joke around, not to flirt.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Guy here. I completely agree with this post. Girls are just plain more open and close with their friendships. If a girl sees a girls holding a girls hand they think friend, not lesbian (though it's not impossible). Guys complain about not having the same status, but seriously, they would call EACH OTHER gay if they saw this.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

At my school, it's like a thing to hug people whenever you see them. (even though you're not allowed to hug for over 3 seconds, we always do) no matter what gender. So it's completely normal for girls to hug. & I only hold hands with my friends if we are walking through a big crowd & don't Want toblose eachother. Or to help the other one keep up. Or sometimes it's dark out & we are alone so we hold eachothers hands to feel safer idk.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh and kissing on the cheek/forehead is fine. If you kiss your friends on the lips & you are 'straight' I hope it was a dare. I've had to kiss girls for dares.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

so what's wrong with kissing girls? :P maybe that's just my bi-curiousness talking I suppose.
