haha, havent thought of this solution LOL :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
well if you burn the haystack, wont the needle burn away with it too..

A needle is metal. Try to burn metal.

er actually i did try to burn a needle once on a lighted candle for a project, it doesnt burn to ashes but becomes really black..black and crooked...

but not gone :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
Good luck trying not to melt it, though.

I think in that analogy you want a working needle when you're done. Magnets, however. . .
by Anonymous13 years ago
but still with a magnet you would have to go through layer by layer to get the needle, unless you have an insanely strong magnet :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ya know, I NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT!!!
by Anonymous13 years ago
Or you could buy another needle for like 25 cents but OK... and also you won't have Smoky the Bear come and give you a lecture
by Anonymous13 years ago
That would be a good idea, except metal needles would melt.
by Anonymous13 years ago
What if you melt the metal..?
And the ashes would pretty much camouflage the needle.
You should try this out, the comment back and see how it works out.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I would but unfortunately I don't have any haystacks on me right now :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
It matters what kind of material the needle was made out of. This would work with a bone needle, for sure.
